Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director

Dartmouth College seeks an Associate AD for Facilities and Operations to assist in planning, directing, and managing the general use, control and operation of all athletic and recreational facilities and to independently develop, implement, and enforce observance of individual facility operating policies and procedures. Oversees the supervision of the grounds crew, as well as, Alumni Gym membership program.
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education and/or Business Administration with four years of relevant business and athletic facilities management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong management and supervisory skills developed from previous experience managing and directing the work of others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize program components.
Initiative, excellent judgment and ability to synthesize and integrate information in order to make critical decisions and recommendations.
Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast paced environment.
Knowledge of athletic activities and facility operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of sports and facilities management to develop relevant policies and procedures.
Skill in budget analysis and management.
Computer knowledge and skills.
Requires evening and weekend hours in addition to regular work day hours.
Experience working with a union preferred.
