Analytics Coordinator, Philanthropic Engagement Syracuse University
Job Description The Analytics Coordinator for Philanthropic Engagement will report to the Director, Data Analytics and Strategy.
This role will support both the Philanthropic Engagement and Syracuse University Athletics advancement teams in the analysis of donor, cultivation and solicitation data to increase the number of annual giving donors and related philanthropic support. The position is specifically focused on data analysis, data modeling, and forecasting, as well as providing deeper insight into trends and opportunities.
Analyze data and manage reporting of athletics donors, including those related to seating, to support the Director, Data Analytics & Strategy and the Director, Annual Giving for Athletics. Analyze and model data on preferred seating gift data to find prospects for increasing annual philanthropic giving to Athletics. Work in the Ticketmaster Archtics database as well as the Syracuse University AEA Blackbaud CRM database (CITRUS) to build reports for Athletics gift officers to provide further insight into their prospects and their potential giving capacity and intent.
Support the direct response team with data for direct mail, email, mobile, paid social, and Campus Call. This includes but is not limited to, pulling data and uploading scripts and data into necessary fundraising vehicles.
Assist Advancement and External Affairs leadership with data modeling and reporting as needed. This would require using BI tools including Tableau, MS Excel, CRM databases and more. Utilize data reports to assist in making informed decisions about prospect/ donor assignments.
Assist in the utilization of data sets to support the data for the athletics donor webpage with focus on donor rank and next level opportunities information.
Assist unit based campus partners with data modeling questions as it relates to giving participation.
Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer science or closely related field and a minimum of 1 years of database systems work, data modeling, analysis or equivalent.
Master's degree in similar fields preferred.
Business intelligence background preferred.
Job Specific Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with data bases and related reporting tolls.
Understanding of higher education or nonprofit databases – IE: Blackbaud, Elucian, Salesforce
Demonstrated exception written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of cloud technologies.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and fulfill deliverables according to a schedule.
Demonstrated problem solving and meta-data skills.
