Primary Position Function/Summary: Assist the head coach in the total administration of the baseball program including the areas of recruiting, coaching (both on-field and off, both in-season and out), student-athlete academic and athletic progress, and all other operational areas of the Baseball program. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Assist in pre-season, in-season, and post-season training, practice, games; game preparation; on field coaching of all phases of the game. 2.Recruiting, off campus evaluations and campus visits. 3.Oversee academics, baseball study hall, and conditioning program. 4.Work compatibly and cooperatively with staff and personnel in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. 5.Assist with development and public relations, promotional, alumni and donor relations activities. 6.Maintain knowledge of and compliance with specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institutional rules.
Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred.
Minimum two years coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level required.
Preferred: Proven ability to recruit and select highly-skilled student-athletics at the Division I level; personal relation skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers, and the general public; organizational skills, fiscal management and computer abilities.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
