Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine - Athletic Training
Manhattan College, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for a full time Assistant Athletic Trainer.
include, but are not limited to: assisting the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine and Athletic Performance with the day to day operations of the athletic training room, providing treatment and care to injured athletes, serving as liaison between team physicians, athletic administrators and coaches, maintaining comprehensive medical documentation, assisting with the administering of institutional drug testing program, game/event and practice coverage, team travel, supervision of assistant athletic trainers and work study students, assist with the processing of secondary insurance claims, assist with pre-participation health screens.
NATABOC certified, NY State licensed or eligible. CPR / AED certified. Strong computer, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work weekends, evenings holidays and travel.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift equipment on occasion and work in various environmental conditions.
Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field. 2-3 years of experience in the college or professional sports setting. NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist.
