The primary responsibilities of this position are creative and strategic in nature working in collaboration with the Big West External Relations Team which includes Media Relations staff, Director of Video and Digital Distribution, Director of Marketing and Director of Championships.
•Create and maintain a strategic digital communication plan and calendar ensuring equity.
•Develop and produce original content for both short and long form use on a variety of Big West platforms – website, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube), ESPN3, BigWest.TV and in-venue video boards.
•Development of content includes identifying storylines, writing, conducting interviews, shooting video footage, editing and creating graphics.
•Maintain relationships with member institutions for access to their existing video, which may be repurposed for additional use by the Conference.
•Collaborate with the External Relations Team on all social media initiatives to stimulate viewers and interest in the Conference’s student-athletes, live event coverage and championship events.
•Review and analyze data related to impressions and provide to the membership.
•Organize the execution of “hype” videos at select championships.
•With the Director of Video and Digital Distribution cultivate relationships with the NCAA, ESPN, AVCA, FloSports, p1440, USA Volleyball and others to share Big West video content regularly, when available
As a secondary responsibility this position will assist with the administration of select championship events.

Experience: Demonstrated experience creating written, audio and video content for a variety of digital media platforms. The successful candidate will be comfortable producing and editing content, conducting interviews and as an on-camera host for both long and short-form features.
Skills: Demonstrated proficiency working in Mac, Windows and Adobe Suite. Ability to edit in Premiere.
Office Hours: Monday through Friday with weekend and evening hours at times required. There is some travel associated with this position.
Additional Salary Information: Benefits include employer paid health, dental and vision insurance after a minimum 30-day waiting period. Participation in employer contributed profit sharing program begins January 1 after completing 12 months of service. Ten vacation days each calendar year beginning January 1.
