Job Location: Oklahoma-Norman-Norman Campus
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Position in the Athletics Business Office that includes all purchasing related duties, vendor management, RFP management, and purchase order management.
Overseeing complex purchases to meet departmental needs for goods and services
Advising and assisting departments in the selection of supplies and equipment, and in the preparation of requisitions.
Analyzing bid comparisons from several vendors and determining the acceptable bidder for contracts, keeping within budgetary limitations.
Reviewing requisitions for accuracy and placing orders with vendors.
Interviewing vendors to obtain information relative to product, price, ability of vendor to produce product, service and delivery date.
Creation of purchases orders and approving purchase orders up to a pre-defined limit.
Coordinating resolution of overdue orders or resolving unfulfilled vendor contract obligations.
Working with vendors and departments to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
Management of RFP process.
Other duties as assigned
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
18-36 months years of experience in purchasing related role.
Proficient navigating and maintaining databases
Advanced excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
Able to understand a chart of accounts and code entries to proper account
Basic computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
Strong initiative to solve problems
Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
Must be able to perform basic data analysis
Advertised Physical Requirements:
Must be able to see including color, depth perception and clarity, hear, and communicate verbally Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Experience with intercollegiate athletics.
Experience with University accounting systems (ARMS, Crimson Corner, etc.)
Able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations
Able to gain and maintain proficiency in Crimson Corner purchasing system
Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
