Serve as Assistant Track & Field Coach for Jumps, Throws, Multi-Events under the direction of the Director of Cross Country and Track & Field. Programming for all jumps, throws, and multi events. Primary recruiter for all field events, assist with travel logistics, assisting the sprints and hurdles coach with various tasks, assisting in various tasks during the cross country season. Responsible for the CARA reporting for track & field athletes and other office duties, as needed.
Serve as an Assistant Track & Feld Coach, under the direction of the Director of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field. Typical coaching duties include programming training for Jumps, Throws, Multi-Event, conducting practices, assisting at competitions and meetings, handling travel logistics, keeping and organizing results/stats and records, motivation, etc. at the direction of the Director.
Is responsible for all recruiting of Jumps, Throws, Multi-Events. Will identify top prospects that are a strong potential fit with our culture. Will conduct regular recruiting phone calls, e-mails, texts, letters, etc. Will do home visits and scouting when necessary. Must be able to build rapport with prospects, parents and coaches. Must be consistent with communication. Must be positive. Must be confident. Must be able to handle rejection, forget it and move on to the next recruiting task. Most of all, must understand how important the recruiting process is to building a Championship program and be committed to excellence in this task.
