Babson College is offering a 9 month part-position in Sports Performance, which includes hands on experiences in Strength and Conditioning and exposure to Sports Medicine and associated disciplines as part of an integrated program in peak athletic performance.

Under the direction of the Director of Sports Performance, the opportunities available through the internship include: •Assisting Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for 22 varsity sports. •Opportunities to develop relationships with regional and national athletic associations related to sports performance. •Communicates with head coaches about strength and conditioning, pre and post game, and pre and post practice activities for student-athletes. •Assisting in the rehabilitation of injured athletes in conjunction with the Sports Medicine department. •Providing instruction and motivation for student-athletes, as well as assessment and feedback in order to insure proper execution of training techniques. •Coordinating direct supervision and instruction of weight training and conditioning activities for varsity sports programs.Provides motivation and feedback in order to insure proper execution of training techniques.
•Assisting in daily oversight and maintenance of the varsity strength and conditioning areas. Assists in identifying and purchasing needed strength and conditioning equipment.
•Providing supervision of the Varsity Weight Room during morning and/or evening hours

Babson offers 22 varsity programs at the NCAA Division III level, with the majority of its teams competing in the NEWMAC. Babson also competes in the ECAC East for men’s ice hockey, the NECC for men’s golf, and the MacConnell Division of the USCSA for alpine skiing.In addition to its 22 varsity programs, Babson offers a number of club sports for full-time undergraduate students.
