The Director of Marketing will manage, develop and implement all promotional efforts, including student and community outreach, game day atmosphere, and other elements for the Athletics department. •Responsible for the marketing, promotions, and fan experience for all 21 NCAA Division 1 athletics programs •Contribute to the development of marketing, game operations and promotional plans to enhance the brand and attendance •Work with the Campbell Ticket Office on group night, ticket discounts, and theme night promotions to increase attendance and drive revenue. •Assist with the fulfillment of corporate sponsorship contracts as it relates to signage, in-game promotions, videoboard, and print materials. •Assist with the development of printed materials and social media concepts •Collaborate with on-campus student organizations, campus leaders, and community members to execute successful events. •Serve as Athletics liaison to marching band, pep band, cheerleading team, dance team, and mascots. •Oversee assistant director, interns, and/or student staff. •Perform other related duties as assigned. •This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University. •Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree preferred
2-4 or more years’ experience in athletic administration and/or marketing and comprehensive computer knowledge and skills.
Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector is also preferred.
Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.
Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail are essential.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Suite, and the Internet
Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public.
Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations.
Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines.
