Bryn Athyn College (BAC) is a NCAA Division III member and a full member in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC).Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach (HMLC) is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the men’s intercollegiate lacrosse team and for other administrative duties to help effectively run the athletic department. The HMLC supervises assistant lacrosse coaches and is expected to support and enhance the focus of BAC Athletics to build a program that fosters commitment, sportsmanship, and charity.
Duties and responsibilities: •Knowledge and passion for the sport of lacrosse •Ability to lead, motivate and communicate with student athletes •Commitment and dedication to academic success •Strong organizational and developmental skills •Ability to work with a diverse population •Ability to conduct on practices and manage game strategy •Organize recruiting materials and identify potential prospects •Develop recruiting strategy and maintain contact with recruits •Develop a conditioning program along with practices •Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to organize and administer team equipment purchases and distribution/collection •Meet with players during the season and conduct post season interviews •Maintain accurate record keeping and transparency within the program •Knowledge of NCAA Division III and CSAC rules and regulations •Game-day management for men’s and women’s basketball •Coordination of outside events on both the college athletic field and the turf at Junge Pavilion •Assistance with equipment ordering for all field sports •Additional duties as assigned and reassessed by the Director of Athletics
Previous coaching experience in a NCAA school
Demonstrated successful record as a coach
Demonstrated success in recruiting student athletes
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Team focused and interest in working in a highly collaborative environment
Ability to exercise sound judgment and work effectively under pressure
Proven ability to manage multiple, complex tasks independently
Evening/weekend work required including travel
Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle required
