This position is responsible, working in conjunction with the Clemson University Police Department, for supervising all security and guest relations operations at athletic events. This position will need to identify and manage challenges associated with implementing a comprehensive safety and security plan while ensuring the fan experience is always kept at the highest level possible. JOB DUTIES:
35% - Essential - Provides overall leadership and direction to align all efforts of the Clemson Athletic Department, the Clemson University Police Department, IPTAY, and third party staffing providers. Main point of contact for walk-thru metal detector implementation at Memorial Stadium and potentially other athletic facilities in the future. Works alongside law enforcement and event staffing provider to ensure all objectives are met. Provides oversight and management of the set-up and breakdown of security perimeters.
30% - Essential - Serves at the game operations contact for Clemson Softball (plus potentially additional sports) home athletic events . Works with Clemson coaching staffs, visiting teams, game officials, and all other partners (both internal and external) to ensure all are instructed on proper game day policies and procedures.
20% - Essential - Oversees guest service interactions at athletic events. Ensures highest levels of customer services is delivered by internal or contracted employees. Works with law enforcement and event staffing provider to develop staffing plan for all venue entrances. Creates and maintains relationships with internal and external constituents to foster collaboration and cooperation to accomplish required and common goals.
10% - Essential - Plans, develops, and participates in staff training for all security, guest services, and gate staff event staff workers. Implements consistent policies and procedures to ensure guest safety, security, and satisfaction at all events.
5% - Essential - Assists in the coordination of efforts and the implementation of action items with representatives of the external affairs umbrella to embrace and enhance the overall fan experience at athletic events. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Exp 2+ years of operations experience & familiarity with walk-thru metal detectors. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education - Master's Degree
Work Exp 5+ years of athletic operations experience and thorough knowledge of walk-thru metal detectors WORK SCHEDULE:
