The University of Connecticut Softball Program is accepting applications for a volunteer coaching position. This gratis position offers coaching experience at the Division I level. Responsibilities will include: Assisting the Head Softball coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I softball program including strategizing game management, assisting with on campus recruiting efforts; assisting with camps and clinics; assisting with equipment orders; coordinating film and video evaluation; assisting game day operations; and other duties as assigned by the Head Softball Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; strong organizational skills and multitasking ability; knowledge of NCAA rules; strong interpersonal skills; and lifelong learner looking to advance in the coaching profession.
Preferred Qualifications: playing experience at the collegiate level; coaching experience at any level; ability to throw batting practice; and experience of on field duties during practice and games.
