The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking a Assistant Coach for Men's Lacrosse. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instructing and teaching athletes in fundamentals of lacrosse, coaching technique and strategy. Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment. Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Prior lacrosse coaching experience or playing experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level required. Extensive knowledge of the sport of lacrosse required. Ability to work with a diverse population. Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations desired. Ability to travel extensively during recruiting process required.
