Louisiana Tech University, a Division 1-A member of Conference USA is seeking applications for the position of Director of Game/Event Operations. This is a full-time, 12-month position. A Bachelor’s degree is required and related work experience, preferably in collegiate athletics.
The Director of Game Operations will work directly with the Associate Athletic Director of Internal Operations and other department and university staff in any capacity required to ensure all athletics events and facilities operate in a safe, professional, and well-organized manner, and ensure all areas of the Athletics Department demonstrate a commitment to maintaining compliance with NCAA, C-USA, Louisiana Tech University, and the State of Louisiana rules and regulations. Responsibilities of this position are as follows: 1) oversee the event management of all home athletic contests and all University and outside events held at athletics facilities and coordinate all event management meetings associated with events being held in athletics facilities; and 2) oversee the maintenance of all equipment, structures, and grounds of the Athletics Department. In addition, duties will include supervising athletics facility staff, coordinating, and supervising other university employees that assist with athletics events including Police, Grounds, Custodial, and Catering, preparing requisitions for all materials and supplies needed for upkeep of athletics facilities and grounds, planning for and scheduling routine painting, repairing, and replacement of equipment, inventory, and athletic facilities, and managing the State property inventory of Athletics. Other responsibilities will be required as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director of Internal Operations.
Candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A Bachelor’s degree is required and related work experience, preferably in collegiate athletics.
