JOB PURPOSE: Serve as a Ticket Office Intern during the work week in the UW Athletics Ticket Office and on ticketed event game days.
The athletic ticket office is open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. Approximately 18 hours per week is expected. This position can carry over the summer and into the 2019-2020 school year.
Pay Rate: $10/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interest in Wyoming Athletics and pursuing a career in business/collegiate athletics preferred. Candidate can be a current University of Wyoming student, but not required. Internship can potentially be for course credit.
This position will provide the highest level of customer service to donors, fans, and alumni of the University. Employees will be required to take inbound phone calls, solicit sales and process ticket orders during the week as well as sell tickets for football, basketball, volleyball, and wrestling events.
Knowledge of intricate computer programs
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Cash handling experience and clerical techniques (i.e. answering phones)
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Have high attention to detail
Able to comprehend instructions and procedures in a fast paced environment
Previous customer service experience preferred in a point of sale or inbound phone/customer service environment
