Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine - Athletic Training
In collaboration with the Director of Athletic Medicine, the Athletic Trainer will deliver health care to student-athletes including physicals, injury/illness evaluations, treatment, performance testing, and exercise programs. This position will also have administrative responsibilities including providing information for insurance claim processing, reviewing and approving medical bills, and supply/equipment inventory and maintenance.
The Athletic Trainer is supervised by the Senior Associate Director of Athletic Medicine and supervises Graduate Employee Athletic Trainers (GE) and Interns.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA.
Evening and weekend work hours are required, as well as team travel.
Minimum Requirements • Master’s degree and current BOCATC certification. • Eligible for Oregon licensure as an athletic trainer. • One year of athletic training experience at Division I university.
Professional Competencies • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare delivery team. • Excellent problem solving and communication skills. • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 100 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications • Two years of athletic training experience at Division I university. • Ability to apply advanced clinical skills to support Athletic Healthcare is strongly desired.
