Teaching at Noble is ideal for instructors motivated by the certainty that all of their students can and will succeed, eager for the autonomy to design the vision and content of their classrooms, and rooted in the desire to continuously improve their instruction through data. We are looking for mission-aligned Physical Education teachers for the 2019-2020 academic year who will open the world of health and wellness to our students. Each Physical Education teacher is responsible for cultivating a community of learners in which diversity of thought is celebrated and results are achieved. Noble Physical Education teachers provide frequent opportunities for students to practice the skills and habits necessary to be successful in school and live healthy, physically fit lives.
Our Physical Education teachers are expected to:
design and implement long term, unit, and lesson plans aligned to Noble’s Physical Fitness Priorities, hold self and all students accountable during class, transitions, and school events, utilize data from in class and Network-wide formative and summative Fit Tests to drive instruction and intervention, and exemplify Noble’s Core Values in the work they do. Above all else, Noble Physical Education teachers must invest our students in benefits and possibilities that accompany healthy lifestyles.
In addition to teaching Physical Education, the ideal candidate will coach the ITW Speer Academy football team. This position is stipended.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Attendance at daily practices from August through October (possible off-season commitments (from January through July) Conducting weight training and conditioning Attendance at coaching clinics Coaching all pre-season, regular season, and playoff games (typically played on Friday night or Saturday afternoon) Manage a team of position coaches Build strong team culture with an emphasis on student excellence
