This position will be responsible for maintain & managing technical crews for all SEC Digital and Linear Network broadcasts. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Sending out schedules of broadcasts and managing pre/post production meetings to address goals for each broadcast; discuss & implement improvement goals for future broadcasts; produce live broadcast productions from the control room by “calling the shots” to the production crew, technical crew & anchors involved in order to ensure a clear, concise & orderly flow of information during the broadcast. This position will help coordinate all aspects of production whether technical in nature such as lighting, camera positions, special effects and production values such as timings, graphics, etc to ensure a first-rate quality broadcast. Extensive knowledge of pre-production equipment and control rooms is preferred.
Responsible for assisting with the training of students & overseeing a freelance crew on the overall control room broadcast operations and the specific skills required for the assigned task. Once trained, directing workflow by delegating specific broadcast tasks to students. Analyze, provide constructive feedback and recommendations to students on their performance after a completed event & communicates to any adjustments needed within the workflow in order to ensure future quality broadcast programs.
Flexibility to travel and willingness to work weekends and evenings. Must comply with NCAA, SEC and University rules, regulations and policies.
