Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant/Associate Athletic Trainer. Salary commensurate with experience and includes University System of Maryland benefits package.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer and under supervision of the Team Physician, oversee the medical care and rehabilitation of FSU student-athletes. Assist with administrative duties as assigned and provide supervision over Athletic Training room operations and services in the absence of the Head Athletic Trainer. Provide coverage for FSU camps directly affiliated with the Athletics Department as assigned. Serve as a preceptor for undergraduate athletic training students.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and current NATABOC certification. Maryland Athletic Training licensure or eligibility. At least two years of related leadership and management work experience in a collegiate setting. Experience assessing injuries and prescribing appropriate treatment and rehabilitation. Familiarity with maintaining files, medical records, insurance information, injury reports, and other documents as required of the position. Strong communication skills required. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automatic defibrillator, and first aid instructor certifications.
