Cameron University, a member in the Lone Star Conference and NCAA Division II, seeks a Head Volleyball Coach. The university has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community. Coaching duties will be performed under the general supervision of the Athletic Director or other administrative superior. The Head Volleyball Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high-quality collegiate athletic program which conforms to NCAA and University rules, regulations, and policies. Duties include, but are not limited to: on-the-court coaching during practices and matches, recruiting student athletes, administers a scholarship program, develops schedules, develops budgets within the allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within the developed budget, fund raising for athletic and other endeavors at the university in cooperation with other university personnel, assures the academic success for the volleyball student athletes, supervises professional and student assistants, and other duties as assigned by the athletic director.
High School or above coaching experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrates organizational and management ability
Must be a Team Player
Successful college head or assistant coaching experience
