Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director

Job Purpose: The Army West Point Athletic Association (AWPAA) is accepting applications for the position of Senior Associate Athletic Director. This is an executive-level, full-time position that fulfills the core duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description.
AWPAA Mission: The Army West Point Athletic Association, Inc. is a New York non-profit corporation organized to support the athletic and physical fitness programs of the United States Military Academy. Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as a member of the AWPAA Executive Staff.
Responsible for oversight and management of the Human Resources (HR) office. This includes payroll, employee benefits, evaluating staff performance, and providing leadership and guidance for personnel.
Serves on the Patriot League Sport Management Committee (SMC) and Committee on Athletic Administration (CAA).
Serves as the Sport Administrator for multiple athletic programs. This includes, but is not limited to, team goal-setting, performance management, budget, capital projects, and Cadet-Athlete well-being.
Oversight of Cadet-Athlete Welfare programs, including the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program (SHARP).
Responsible for developing and executing Cadet-Athlete, Coach, and Staff Leadership Development Programming (including the Student-Athlete Athletic Council).
Assist the Director of Athletics by executing strategic initiatives and special projects.
Bridge the strategic goals provided by the Director of Athletics and Executive Staff with the tactical requirements of assigned functional areas.
At the direction of the Director of Athletics, be directed to participate and speak at gatherings and related USMA functions.
Ensures that the athletic department is compliant with applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), conference, and Academy rules, regulations, and operational procedures.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Position often requires work on early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as travel with teams to various game locations.

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Master’s degree is preferred
7+ years of full-time experience in college athletics and/or applicable field
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and with professionalism in a fast-paced athletic environment
This position will require evening and weekend scheduling
