The ASUN Conference is accepting applications for an internship for Championships. The 12-month temporary position will begin no later than September 1. Total 12-month stipend is $24,000. The ASUN is an NCAA Division I conference with nine member institutions: Florida Gulf Coast University, Jacksonville University, Kennesaw State University, Liberty University, Lipscomb University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of North Alabama, University of North Florida and Stetson University. Primary Duties - Provide support to the Director in all aspects of ASUN and CCSA Championship operations - Develop and distribute pre-championship information (handbooks, host manuals) - Assist with championship registration, calls, and meetings (agendas, schedules, support materials) - Assist in the oversight of the championship sections of the ASUN and CCSA websites - Travel to and provide on-site administrative support for specified ASUN and CCSA championships - Assist with post-championship evaluation process - Provide support for ASUN and CCSA awards administration - Assist with coordination and distribution of signage for ASUN and CCSA Championships - Collaborate with Director in the distribution of regular season event management guidelines and game time charts - Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required; event management or sport administration experience is preferred
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work on tight deadlines
Demonstrated expertise in written and oral communication and problem solving
Must be goal- and task-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
Familiarity with Google Platform and Adobe suite of products desirable
Ability to think innovatively in regards to process and/or event improvement
Weekend hours, evening work, and travel will be a significant component of the position. Flexible office hours and the opportunity for remote site working will be expected and accommodated.
