POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Graduate Assistant will help foster a distinctive culture in competitive athletics that commissions student-athletes to impact the world for Christ. The Graduate Assistant will report directly to the head coach. The graduate assistant will be responsible to assist the head coach with the everyday activities and responsibilities that are involved in that particular sport or event.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: •Assist in everyday practice activities on and off the court •Team members and coaching staff will strive to reflect the Athletic Department core values: Christ-Centered, Excellence, Integrity, Community, and Humility. Will offer ongoing support to develop a culture that emphasizes these values. •Assist with game day duties and event management •Assist with on and off campus recruiting •Organize, direct, and/or help with sports camps •Assist with team fundraising •Assist with alumni relations •Assist with marketing and promotions •Attend annual continuing-education programs for NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations as they apply to recruiting, eligibility, and finances. •A commitment to NCAA, Conference, and University rule compliance. •Keep current with and follow NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations as they apply to recruiting, eligibility, and finances. •Understand that violations of NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. •Report any NCAA, G-MAC, and university rule violations to the compliance office
QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree required •Acceptance into a Master’s Degree program at Cedarville University •Excellent organizational skills •Disciplined time management skills •A pleasant and professional personality
