Brandeis University is seeking to hire a Strength and Conditioning Coach Athletics Department.
The Coach is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating the overall direction and operation of a strength and conditioning program for 19 men’s and women’s intercollegiate teams competing in the NCAA Division III as a member of the University Athletic Association.
Essential & Other Functions:
- Designs specific programs for each sport in consultation with the coaches of that particular sport and is the primary strength and conditioning coach. - Provides hands on, one-on-one training with both male and female athletes, supervises workouts, and provides student-athletes with proper guidance and training techniques. - Assists with injury prevention and rehabilitation in conjunction with the athletic training staff, provides in-depth nutritional information for all student athletes, and supervises and schedules the Varsity Weight Room. - Creates an environment that is supportive of individual differences and maximizes the educational and athletic development of the student athletes. - Monitors performance year-round for improvement. - Supervise interns to ensure program compliance and safe practices.
- Bachelor's degree required. - 1-3 years of related work experience is required - CSCS certification. - CPR/AED certifications - Valid driver's license required - Must be qualified to be insured by Brandeis University
Additional Information - This is a 10-month position: August 1 through May 31. - This position requires flexibility, travel, and working late nights, weekends, and holidays.
