The successful applicant will become part of our team as we build a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. The individual in this position is directly responsible for the organization, implementation and direction of the athletic department’s most critical events involving athletics’ VIP donor group. This position acts as a liaison between the donor community and Boise State Athletics, in cultivating donor relationships. Any violation of a conference or NCAA regulation, as well as those policies of the University, could cause dismissal of a participant or staff member, as well as, create negative publicity and/or conference or NCAA standings to the program and institution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and support major donor events including, but not limited to:
Coaches club events for men’s basketball and football, member appreciation, Dinner on the Blue, Lyle Smith Golf Tournament, Hall of Fame (bi-annually), Auction Gala (bi-annually), endowment banquet, signing day events and fall Bronco Bashes at away games.
Assist with management and coordination of donor activities in the Stueckle Sky Center, this includes special events, game day support (set-up and breakdown) and interaction with VIP donors.
Play a critical role in supporting the strategic development efforts of the BAA, including recommending follow-up from special events, specific donors, and highlighting development opportunities at events, etc.
Oversee and manage budget and audit system for special events.
Manage volunteers for events.
Collaborate with assigned sports to support their enhancement fund development efforts. This includes: brainstorming, approval and creation of marketing materials, event date selection and donor point of contact.
Other special projects/special events as coordinated with the Executive Director of the BAA and the Director of Athletics.
Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Mountain West Conference and Boise State rules compliance.
This position will be required to work nights and weekends and some overnight travel when necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with:
Building and maintaining relationships with boosters, donors and clients in the areas of identification, cultivation and solicitation. Must be able to develop good relationships with prospective/current donors.
Soliciting donations for events, as well as, securing participants, event sponsors and corporate sponsorship sales.
Problem solving and the ability to think through complicated processes and handle any and all changes that may occur in relation to events and other responsibilities.
Being exceptionally organized in order to excel and work under pressure with multiple projects happening at once.
Working independently, as well as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications (Including Certificates and Licenses):
A Bachelor’s Degree
Two (2) years of experience with planning, organizing and executing first-class events.
Professional or intercollegiate athletic experience with client/donors.
Experience and ability to use development software, effectively manage budgets and successfully execute first-class events.
Demonstrated financial and administrative experience.
