Carthage College, a member of the NCAA DIII and the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, is seeking to fill a Head Men's Volleyball Coach position. Responsibilities include directing all aspects of the competitive intercollegiate program, including coaching and teaching effective strategy, technique and training, recruitment of qualified student-athletes. The head coach is also responsible for ensuring compliance with NCAA, Conference, and Carthage College rules and regulations, establishing appropriate competitive and developmental goals and objectives for program. Additional responsibilities include teaching of courses in Exercise and Sport Science and/or carrying out assigned administrative responsibilities within the Intercollegiate Athletics department. The head coach will be involved with some aspects of alumni relations within their sport and will support fundraising efforts for special initiatives in their program or the department of athletics.

Requires education generally equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
Requires 2 or more years of coaching experience. College coaching experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail are required.
Master’s degree or progress towards an advanced degree and previous experience working in a college or university athletics department is highly desired.
National certification in strength and conditioning preferred.
