The George Mason University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an energetic professional to serve as The Director of the Annual Fund. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Advancement, The Director of the Annual Fund implements, directs, and coordinates a comprehensive annual fund program charged with identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donations for Mason Athletics. The Director will plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of the Patriot Club. Primary responsibilities include creating mass campaigns and targeted efforts to grow Patriot Club engagement through memberships. Ensures that goals and objectives are met with strict adherence to NCAA and Atlantic 10 rules and regulations.

Create and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising program that increases donor participation and annual fund totals
Along with the Director of Advancement plan, develop and execute long-range and short-term goals for the Patriot Club
Meet goals for annual giving, special initiatives, and Patriot Club membership
Manage the Patriot Club donor communication and assist with benefit fulfillment
Identify, solicit, and cultivate annual giving prospects
Devise and execute strategies for the solicitation of mid-level and emerging gifts ($1,000 – $25,000), as well as event sponsorships
Work with several Head Coaches as assigned as the sport liaison for the Patriot Club
Responsible for coordinating Hospitality areas for Men's Basketball
Meet monthly contact goals as established by the Director of Advancement and regularly report on the progress of these goals
Coordinate with Ticket Operations for annual renewal solicitations
Advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree
Five or more years of applicable experience in development, sales, managing alumni/constituent affairs, special events, and/or volunteer management
Experience using Microsoft Office
Ability to travel and attend evening and weekend activities as needed
Experience in higher education and/or athletics preferred
