LONG BEACH STATE ATHLETICS invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Athletics Director for Compliance. This position is responsible for the overall comprehensive compliance program for Long Beach State Athletics including rules education, monitoring, and investigating components as well a monitoring other components within the program that strengthen and enhance athletic compliance as a whole. Implements, oversees, and evaluates daily operations, rules education, initial and continuing eligibility, financial aid, interpretations and applications of NCAA legislation, personnel, recruiting, and practice and playing sessions. Coordinates audits and periodic compliance reviews, and facilitates the self-reporting process. Coordinates, develops, and implements a proactive and dynamic rules education program. Advances the efforts of the Department of Athletics and the University toward diversity and gender equity.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and related procedures at the Division I level. Working knowledge of all areas of compliance in a Division I program. Ability to multitask, be self motivated and highly organized. Ability to educate, interact, and motivate coaches, student athletes, and other members of the University community. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with a diverse population on and off campus. Advanced computer skills. Knowledge of NCAA web-based software preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of related experience required.
