The Head Coach, Baseball is responsible for the overall management of the program. This position must adhere to all budgetary guidelines, as well as NCAA, Mid-American Conference and University of Toledo policies. This position is also responsible for the actions of all assistant coaches and administrators who report, directly or indirectly. This position will promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program and will monitor the activities of all assistant coaches and administrators involved with the program who report, directly or indirectly. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of practice and competition preparation, recruitment of student athletes, and the comprehensive operation of the program with student athlete welfare as a guiding principle.
The Baseball Head Coach is responsible for adhering to compliance, policies and procedures of the Athletic Department, University of Toledo, NCAA and MAC.
Bachelor’s degree required.
A minimum of 4 years of successful collegiate Baseball coaching or equivalent experience required.
Collegiate and/or professional playing experience preferred.
Communication and other skills:
Ability to effectively communicate and counsel student-athletes on requirements for personal conduct, academic performance and athletic performance.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrate professional conduct and ethical behavior.
Ability to comply with all policies and regulations of the University, MAC and NCAA.
Must have the ability to as well as meet the requirements to complete and maintain mandatory training per the University mandatory training policy pursuant to the deadlines set forth therein.
