Wabash College invites applications for the position of Head Volleyball Coach. The College recently announced the addition of men’s volleyball, its thirteenth NCAA Division III sport program. The team’s first competition is scheduled for the 2020-’21 academic year. The head coach reports to the Director of Athletics and Campus Wellness and is responsible for leading all phases of a competitive program that supports and advances the mission of the College. Experience playing, coaching, and recruiting intercollegiate men’s volleyball is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required. Duties include, but are not limited to: successful recruitment of academically and athletically prepared student athletes for the 2020-’21 season and beyond; the highest commitment to student-athlete health and well-being; directing skill instruction and development; coordination of team travel; effective budget management; and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes. Adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA Division III policies and procedures is required. Secondary responsibilities that align with the selected applicant’s skills and the needs of the athletics and campus wellness department may also be assigned.
