Responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of the Athletic Department business office. Provide organizational oversight of the business office staff and the various daily, weekly, and monthly business-regulated operations. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations.
1.Develop, report, analyze, and manage the Athletic Department’s operating budget. Create financial models to perform budget forecasting and financial analysis.
2.Ensure that internal control policies and procedures, including required documentation, are in place for payable/receivable issues, travel advance/expense reporting, etc. Prepare monthly financial reports for administrative units and sports programs.
3.Manage and oversee licensing program to protect, preserve, and maintain the integrity and long-term brand value of Friar/PC Athletic trademarks, while ensuring that fans have access to quality, licensed merchandise across all distribution channels.
4.Coordinate the annual filing of international student taxes for all international student-athletes receiving athletic scholarships and work with the Bursar’s Office to apply tax refunds to students’ accounts and apply payment for outstanding taxes using the NCAA Student Assistance Fund.
5.Manage the bid process for all Big East, Hockey Conference, or NCAA Championship events or tournaments. This includes submission of budgets, reconciliation of expenses, and post event/tournament reporting.
1.Manage team schedules and the transmittal and/or receipt of game contracts with scheduled opponents in a relational database.
2.Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President/Deputy AD/Senior WomanAdministrator in monitoring Title IX budgetary equivalencies.
3.Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution required and/or combination of education and experience. • Seven years’ experience in fund accounting and sports administration. • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and the NCAA Compliance software. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. • Proficient in the use of technology related to financial analysis and other associated computer applications.
