Provides administrative support to the Director of Athletics. Will also assist with key responsibilities related to special events and department initiatives.
Responsible for assisting the Athletic Director with department operations. This includes assisting with the scheduling of appointments, creation of correspondence and providing other administrative support as requested by administrators; compiling and preparing data for reports, correspondence and presentations; arranging and implementing decisions of meetings and conferences and assuring follow-up actions are taken in accordance with established procedures; serving as liaison between the assigned areas and related contacts within and outside of the University community to include coaching staff, student athletes and alumni in order t facilitate programs; coordinating resources to meet the needs of the assigned area, event or program; creating reports and analyzing data obtained developing and updating systems, manuals, handbooks and policies and procedures; and planning, developing and coordinating events related to requirements of the area of assignment.

Minimum Education Level Required
Bachelor’s Degree. Must be enrolled in a WJU master’s degree program for the extent of the Graduate Assistantship. *3.0 GPA required.
Minimum Experience Level Required
One year collegiate playing experience.
Physical Demands Required
Required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and use hands to handle and feel objects; lift and / or move up to 50lbs; reach with hands and arms, climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally lift and / or move up to 100lbs; have vision abilities that include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and moderate noise level that can be loud depending on the circumstances.
Compliance Responsibilities Required
Read, interpret and apply policies and procedures in assigned area; document as required by policies and procedures; maintains qualifications and certification(s); and completes annual training as required by position.
Required to have a valid driver’s license. Must pass NCAA Compliance Exam. Knowledge of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
