OPERATIONS COORDINATOR Athletic Director Pos. # 510020 Req. # P622 RESPONSIBILITIES: The Operations Coordinator for Men’s Basketball will assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach to develop a quality NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program that will be competitive on the floor and in the classroom. Duties will include but not be limited to: Work directly with the Head Men’s Basketball coach and oversee all team travel arrangements including hotels, meals, and transportation. Assist with the development of a community outreach program and oversee the public service projects for Men’s Basketball. Additional tasks include: coordination of recruiting activities to include written correspondence with prospective student athletes and all official visit arrangements; development of annual clinics and summer camp structure; and assist to monitor academic progress. The incumbent will serve as a liaison to the Compliance office, the BRAA, High School Coaches and other groups as assigned; make public appearances or speak at civic events within the community in the absence of the head men’s basketball coach. Know and follow all NCAA rules and regulations and report any known violations to the Director of Compliance. The incumbent shall serve as a positive role model for the athletes; oversee/resolve team issues not directly associated with coaching; work with the coaches to develop scouting reports for the athletes throughout the season and perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.Two (2) years administrative and/or coaching experience on the club, high school, collegiate or professional level required.
