South Dakota Mines is seeking qualified candidates for the Head Women’s Basketball Coaching position. SD Mines is located in Rapid City, South Dakota and is a NCAA Division II institution and member of the highly competitive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Hardrocker Athletics is looking for a confident, dynamic, energetic, highly organized, dedicated servant leader to join the Hardrocker Athletic family. The Head Women's Basketball Coach will be responsible for facilitating the academic, athletic, and overall growth of every Women's Basketball scholar-athlete. This individual will work closely with the Athletic Director, to continually assess and elevate the program's status in the areas of academics, recruiting, marketing/public relations, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, departmental compliance, alumni engagement, facility management. This is a 12-month benefited position at 100% effort from July 22 to May 21 and 50% effort from May 22 to July 21.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies
Experience in teaching/coaching basketball skills, recruiting at the collegiate level
Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with prospective scholar-athletes, current student-athletes, staff and institutional personnel
Strong organizational skills to manage and lead an athletic program
