The Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach is responsible for providing coaching, recruiting and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. This position is also responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, the PAC-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
The Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach will work with individual student-athletes on improving their performance in the sport of acrobatics & tumbling. This position will also evaluate student-athletes to identify strengths and deficiencies, and design instructional opportunities to improve technical and strategic execution based on sound motor learning and bio-mechanical principles.

Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree. • Two years of experience as an acrobatics & tumbling student-athlete or coach at the collegiate level.
Professional Competencies • Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills. • Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations and ability to successfully pass the annual NCAA Recruiting exam. • The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes.
Preferred Qualifications • Affiliation with Division I, highly successful elite women’s acrobatics & tumbling program. • Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively. • Full understanding of providing a quality student-athlete experience.
