General Summary: Participates in organization and execution of volleyball recruitment, practice, scheduling and game coordination.
Supports student-athlete welfare and good academic standing of team members.
Is a key contact for and manager of summer camps
Is a positive Christian coaching role model, and helps with spiritual and social development of student athletes.
Recruits student-athletes and is available for recruiting administration.
Conforms to and is knowledgeable of all NCAA regulations and conference requirements and exhibits proficiency through a passing score on the NCAA coaches examination.
Participates in organization and execution of team practices and individual workouts.
Cooperates in specified game assignments, sets up opponent scouting network, developsa master schedule and file on each, secures up-to-date information by scouting, maintains the videotape exchange program.
Organizes fundraising events such as camps and high school/club tournaments.
Bachelor's degree in athletics, related field, or equivalent.
Two years previous experience in coaching volleyball at the high school or collegiate level.
Basic first aid certification, CPR, AED certification.
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
Knowledge and technical skills necessary to accomplish the assigned task.
Maturing and contagious Christian faith, knowledge of and willingness to actively support the Christian mission of the University and accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaches, athletes, students, faculty, administration and community.

This is a full time position with excellent benefits. SPU pays the employee premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance. SPU makes contributions to an employee HSA account and to a retirement account after one year of eligibility in the plan.
