Ball State University Intercollegiate Athletics invites applicants for a Director of Athletic Compliance/Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Responsibilities include; coordinate and direct a program which protects the integrity of Ball State University through compliance with NCAA, Mid-American conference, and University regulations by student-athletes, coaches, Ball State University employees, and representatives of Ball State University’s athletic interests.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Director of Compliance: •Three years of experience in NCAA Division I compliance in a university or athletics environment. •Experience in preparation of APR and GSR. •Demonstrated experience with financial aid Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance: •Three years of experience in NCAA Division 1 compliance in a university or athletics environment. •Experience in preparation of APR and GSR •Demonstrated experience with financial aid •Experience in managing staff •Experience serving as the direct liaison to campus offices such as admissions or financial aid
Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; working knowledge of NCAA programs; excellent organizational skills, ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced and demanding environment; knowledge and familiarity with the NCAA Division I manual.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or Juris Doctor degree. Director of Compliance: •Five years of experience in NCAA Division I athletics compliance. •Experience in managing staff Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance: •Five years of experience in NCAA Division 1 athletics compliance. •Experience in managing staff •Experience with responsibilities in one or more areas outside of compliance such as student services or sport administration.
Experience in preparation and submission of various NCAA forms as well as preparation of APR and GSR. Familiarity with Banner program, LSDBI, Compliance Assistance and JumpForward.
