The individual will manage broadcast administration functions and oversee and coordinate the exposure strategic initiatives of the Strategic Plan. Lead all brand management and serve as liaison to the WCC Properties (revenue generation) unit.
Generate Conference exposure via television and digital broadcasts. Examples of associated tasks include: Broadcast Administration Manage all aspects of all Conference television broadcasts Serve as Conference scheduling/operations liaison with all broadcast partners: ESPN Networks, BYUtv, NBC Sports, Spectrum Sports, ROOT Sports and Stadium. Serve as the Executive Producer for weekly Conference television basketball show, “WCC This Week” and monthly all-sports television show, “WCC All-Access” Serve as the Executive Producer for Conference audio broadcasts (e.g., schedule broadcasters, coordinate air time for men’s basketball radio broadcasts during WCC championships)
Executive Producer, TheW.tv (WCC Digital Network) Manage West Coast Conference digital (on-line) broadcasts and video on-demand (VOD) content Work with digital network partner Stadium on content creation, scheduling and execution of live events, and championships coverage Work with membership to coordinate content creation on their campuses Drive content to both the network and to tablet/smartphone apps Complete site surveys at championship venues to ensure live and VOD coverage can be executed in a flawless manner Collaborate with membership to facilitate broadcasts, including facilities and equipment analysis
Oversight of all West Coast Conference external affairs. Examples of associated tasks include: Strategic Communications. Identify, develop and implement communication solutions to key issues and messages impacting Conference and in support of the strategic plan. This includes outreach and coordination with other Conference office functions as it relates to strategic communications.
Serve as Conference spokesperson, when appropriate.

Marketing Oversight Liaison to Conference marketing directors group Management of in-venue experience at ticketed West Coast Conference championships (basketball and baseball)
Brand Management Responsible for enforcement of brand guidelines & brand usage Strategic planning for brand protection, development and promotion
Oversight of Select Special Events, including: Basketball Tip-Off (Media Days) Honors Dinner Hall of Honor Social Media Summit
Conference Sport Schedules Collaborate with the designated sports administrator on the development of Conference schedules ensuring compliance with scheduling guidelines. Work with sport administrator to communicate schedules to Conference membership as well as changes to Conference schedules. Collaborate with broadcast partners and Associate Commissioner of Men’s Basketball and Sport Administration (and Basketball Cabinet), on development of the men’s and women’s basketball Conference schedules.
Revenue generation via sponsorships. Provide guidance to designated sponsorships entity ensuring fulfillment of agreed on strategies and contract execution. Serve as primary staff liaison to regional vice president.
Demonstrated understanding of the West Coast Conference’s core values of collaboration, inclusion, innovation, integrity, personal growth and performance. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s or advanced/professional degree(s) preferred. Minimum five years of progressively responsible full-time professional experience (internships will be considered). Working knowledge of Division I intercollegiate athletics, the WCC and its institutions’ programs and/or higher education preferred. Ability to communicate with others in an understandable manner. Proven skills in writing and oral communication so as to communicate effectively at a variety of levels in a complete concise, effective and grammatically correct administrative manner (e.g., copywriting skills). Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to analyze situations and systems, identify problems, and implement solutions. Skill in organizing material and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort. Ability to develop short and long range plans and ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in assignments, deadlines, competing requirements and workload. Proven skills in consensus building, exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions or solutions. Build and maintain positive and effective relationships with membership, partners and internal staff. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment to handle sensitive and confidential information/material with discretion. Demonstrated high-level proficiency in various technologies including Microsoft programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
