PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assist head coach in the overall day to day operations of the men's basketball program. Manage and oversee all instructional film components of the men’s basketball program.

Oversee production of instructional material for student-athletes, including management of game footage, including shooting and editing, for evaluation and instruction of coaching staff and team. Maintain working knowledge of scouting, recruiting and video software. Coordinate with assistant coaches to organize and produce scouting tapes for recruiting purposes. Directly supervise and assign work for student managerial staff (student help). Organize work assignments for the student managerial staff for daily practices and home and away contests as well as instruction on specific video editing software and Synergy video breakdown. Manage film exchange process with common opponents. Annually organize and coordinate the men’s basketball summer camp program, a series of multi-day events for individuals, teams, and parent-child programs for those interested in Illinois Men’s Basketball. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position.
Bachelor’s degree in sports management, kinesiology, recreation or related field required
Minimum two years of collegiate coaching experience at any level or relevant administrative experience required.
Experience with Division I intercollegiate athletics preferred. Video experience preferred. Knowledge of HUDL editing system, and Synergy preferred
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
