Ticket Sales & Operations Associate (Part-time) The University of Akron Akron, OH
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include building and maintaining a master event calendar of all athletics events, scheduling game-day staff members for all events, setting up ticket operations for events, process the payroll for all game-day staff members and serve as the primary ticket contact for all home women's volleyball matches. Perform outbound calls for Akron Athletics for all ticketed sports inventory which is available for sale from The University of Akron ticket office; this includes, but not limited to, Season, Group, Partial/Mini-plan and/or single game tickets. Must meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service. Grow sales significantly each week by attracting additional business leads. Maintain computerized records of all prospects and customers with Ticketmaster's Archtics software. Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, partial plan and group ticket plans. Work home games performing various ticket sales and service duties as assigned and agreed upon with the ticket sales and operations leadership
Required Qualifications: A relevant Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience at taking and fulfilling ticket orders including building an account in ticket software, buying tickets into the account, paying off the account and then distributing them to the patron either at the window or by mail. Strong communication, accounting and event management skills. Proficiency in computerized ticketing software. Experience performing individual game audit procedures to ensure proper NCAA compliance.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a major in Sport Management, Business Administration or related field. Previous experience with Ticketmaster's Archtics software is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Access.
