The Head Baseball Coach at Cameron University, an NCAA Division II institution in the Lone Star Conference is a highly responsible and demanding position. The university has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community. Coaching duties will be performed in the general supervision of the Athletic Director or other administration. The Head Baseball Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a highly-quality collegiate athletic program, which adheres to University and NCAA rules, regulations, and policies. Head Coach is responsible for assuring the academic success of student athletes. The head coach performs on-field coaching/instruction during practices and games, is responsible for recruiting student athletes, assists in administration of the scholarship program for baseball, develops schedules for the University's baseball team; assists in development of a budget within allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within developed budget; performs fund-raising for athletic and other endeavors at the University in cooperation with other University personnel. The head coach provides academic counseling services for student athletes, supervises professionals, student workers and assistants, and performs administrative duties as assigned. The head coach is responsible for the upkeep and maintaining all baseball related facilities.
High School or above successful coaching experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates organizational and management ability.
Shall be a Team Player.
Successful Head or Assistant college coaching experience.
