Summary Description: Roles and Responsibilities •Responsible for duties related to coaching a women’s lacrosse team that will compete as a NCAA Division III athletic program. Will specialize in the areas of coaching women’s lacrosse and have expertise and specific components of coaching women’s lacrosse. Lead all aspects of recruitment and training of student-athletes. •Assists in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practice, training, and competition, typically in a key area of women’s lacrosse •Designs and implements specific conditioning programs and/or training routines as appropriate to improve athletic performance. •Conducts recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA and USA South rules through counting, on-site attendance, and home visits. •Be responsible for monitoring and supporting student-athletes in academic progress. •Will plan and arrange team travel and may perform other administrative as appropriate. •Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned •Recommends athletes for recognition, including NCAA, and USA South awards and end of season banquet •Abides by all NCAA and USA South rules •Completes the NCAA rules test annually •Maintains current certification in CPR/AED training

Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in area of women’s lacrosse.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with student athletes
In-depth knowledge of applicable sports and playing rules.
Knowledge of NCAA rules governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
Knowledge of athletic training and conditioning programs and routines
Compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required in this position
