Under the direction of the Head Lacrosse Coach, the Assistant Lacrosse Coach will support and enhance the mission of the San Diego State University Athletic Department. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the direction of the Lacrosse program and performing a variety of coaching functions related to the sport of Lacrosse. These coaching functions include, but are not limited to the following: recruiting, administrative duties, coaching, teaching, and fundraising.
One year coaching NCAA Division I, II, or III lacosse; OR three years’ experience playing lacrosse in Division I or on a national team.
Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills
Two or more years coaching NCAA Division I, professional, or other high level competition or four or more years’ experience playing lacrosse in Division I or on a national team.
National recruiting experience.
Prior management of a lacrosse program.
Specialized knowledge of offensive skills and tactics.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Experience with community outreach programs to coordinate service projects.
Additional Salary Information: This is a part-time (0.5 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position anticipated to end on or before 06/30/2020, with the possibility of reappointment and/or permanency. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
