The Marketing Assistant assists with day-to-day activities in the University of Louisville Athletics marketing department including creating and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports, which includes marketing plan execution and coordinating game day operations, and assisting with various marketing initiatives. This position reports to the Director of Team Marketing. This posting will end the evening of Monday, May 27th.
Responsible for assisting with day-to-day activities in the marketing department including creating and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports.
Communicate with coaching staffs to develop and implement marketing and promotional plans; create strategies for fan engagement and attendance, and act as game producer for assigned sports.
Assist in training adidas Interns in necessary duties within the marketing department - including gameday execution, creating run of shows, script writing, and videoboard operation.
Assist with creation and implementation of a social strategy for assigned sports.
Assist with post-season events as it relates to assigned sports
Act as Marketing liaison to assigned special marketing initiatives
Supervise student volunteers assigned to game day duties
Assist with additional sports as needed
Other Duties as assigned by the Director of Team Marketing
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sport Administration, Communication, or a related field and one (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience which may include graduate assistant and/or internship experience.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including both verbal and written
Ability to work nights and weekends
Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations
Grade ND Salary Minimum $14.72/hr
Master's degree in Marketing, Sport Administration, Communication, or a related field
Previous marketing and/or game production experience in a collegiate athletics setting
