Responsibilites include serving as a staff member in the Physical Education Department and performing faculty duties. May teach undergraduate courses in Physical Education, manage and instruct competitive athletic programs, perform departmental duties, promote professional activities in area of athletic specialization (Fencing); and participate in course and curriculum development. Head Fencing Coach, manages and oversees all aspects of intercollegiate Fencing program in full compliance with the rules, regulations and bylaws of the NCAA AND other applicable conference affiliation and the U. S. Air Force Academy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will be those that have knowledge of NCAA Division I guidelines for eligibility/recruiting, demonstrated experience in coaching, and college-level teaching experience in Physical Education and Coaching experience in Fencing. Essential qualities expected of every faculty member include the personal attributes of integrity, industry, cooperation, initiative, and organizational management. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and demonstrated excellence in teaching.

The selected candidate will be subject to a security investigation leading to successful completion of a background investigation with a favorable adjudication. The selectee's failure to meet this requirement will be grounds for termination.
