This position, under general supervision, independently performs and is responsible for (1) Assisting the Head Athletic Trainer manage an Athletic Training Room that services to all intercollegiate sports; (2) Helping in the process of developing and implementing standard operating procedures, schedules and appropriate documentation of injuries; (3) Recognize, evaluate and treating student-athletes’ injuries; (4) Educate coaches, student-athletes and parents through injury resolution; (5) Clinical instruction of athletic training students working towards BOC certification.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
BOC certification; State of Kansas Athletic Trainer Licensure or eligible to obtain
Current CPR certification; American Red Cross Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
