Iowa Western Community College is currently seeking an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at our beautiful SW Iowa Campus, in Council Bluffs Iowa. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with coordination of all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division I athletic program. This is a great opportunity for someone who has some coaching experience in the following areas: Coaching, recruiting, budget management, travel management, rules and eligibility compliance, administrative duties, departmental fundraising, camps, game management, academic advising, marketing, promotions and public relations. We’d also love it if you possess: Excellent oral, written communication, and human relations skills. Effective organizational skills, particularly as they relate to the teaching-learning process. Strong motivation to work/serve under-prepared and under-resourced students. Ability to work with diverse populations. First-Aid and CPR Certified or ability to obtain certification within first 60 days of employment. Ability to pass a background check. Must hold valid driver’s license and have good driving record to qualify to drive college vehicles and obtain CDL. Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting of 10 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel including by vehicle may be required. Working in indoor and outdoor athletic facilities will be expected. Ability to do facility set-up by climbing stairs, ladders, and moving moderately heavy equipment.
