The George Mason University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Director of Women's Basketball Operations to assist the Head Coach.
Coordinate team travel and meals; and
Acts as liaison to visiting teams regarding all travel related needs.
Coordinate the team and visiting teams practice schedules, equipment and supply requirements; and
Coordinate with pertinent staff at arena, practice facility and event management staff.
Responsible for maintaining fiscal control over team travel, student-athlete fueling program, and equipment and apparel purchases.
Assist in athletic event management and special projects as needed.
Responsible to assist staff with GAMEDAY and practice film analysis/breakdown;
Upload game film to Synergy as required by A-10; and
Design mailouts and social media graphics as assigned by staff.
On campus recruiting:
Plan and carry out itinerary for all on campus visits.
Equipment and Apparel:
Responsible for all aspects of equipment and apparel program, including submitting annual team and staff apparel orders, purchasing all necessary equipment (both office/technical and basketball-related equipment), maintaining current inventory, and distribution of apparel; and
Position will require use of a University-issued purchasing card; adherence to all University and Commonwealth of Virginia policies related to purchasing card is required.
Basketball Camp Liaison:
If Head Coach, Women's Basketball, conducts camp WBB DOBO shall coordinate all Basketball Camp issues as they relate to University policies and procedures.
Advanced degree or equivalent work experience; and
Collegiate basketball playing experience and/or previous work experience in the basketball profession.
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Knowledge of collegiate athletic budget processes; and
Video technology skills necessary for producing scouting and practice tapes.
