Reporting to the Director of Swimming and Diving, the Assistant Coach for Diving is responsible for conducting practices, traveling with the team, recruiting and assisting with all other aspects of the Northwestern Swimming and Diving program.
*Willingness and ability to work, as well as travel, mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Responsible for coaching and training Northwestern’s diving team; Develop and conduct all in-season and out-of-season sessions throughout the year as deemed necessary and appropriate.
- Responsible for the overall administration of the diving program, including the areas of budget, recruiting, travel and scheduling.
- Must be fully knowledgeable and adhere to all rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big Ten Conference and Northwestern University.
- Work in coordination with all departments within the Northwestern University Department of Athletics and Recreation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Understanding and knowledge of the strategies and the development of diving at the Division I collegiate level
USA Diving Certification preferred
Prior experience at the collegiate level preferable.
