The University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites nominations and applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (R96876). Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletic Performance, The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach is a twelve month position. The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will serve as the primary strength coach for Baseball for the first year and other sports assigned by the Director of Athletic Performance and will be responsible for all aspects of strength and conditioning for those sports. The assignment will be reviewed, and may be changed, by the Director of Athletic Performance at the end of each year. This position will require certification from the NSCA (CSCS) or the CSCCa (SCCC). All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy.
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for all sports assigned; Monitor and modify student workouts as necessary; Maintain athletic strength facility as needed; Work directly with Athletic Training Staff to progress training and rehab plans as necessary; Communicate all aspects of student-athletes’ strength and conditioning status to coaching staff; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include an earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year educational institution; Minimum of two years of experience in strength and conditioning at the intercollegiate level; Experience with programming and implementation of an annual training plan for both men’s and women’s sports teams; Certification that is current and valid through either NSCA (CSCS) or the CSCCa (SCCC); Certified in CPR/AED.
